Money wisdom: Not about loving money . . .

Welcome to our site, One Thing A Day . . . which chronicles our trip to financial freedom . . . becoming debt-free and money-smart along the way.
This is NOT a blog about the love of money . . .
It is a site, however, a site about how to effectively save and use said money: A site about using and managing well this tool that God has entrusted us with; sometimes we get it right; sometimes we get it wrong.
We want to live in such a way that we manage this resource so well, that we have no need and can use it to meet the needs of others and situations, while leaving an inheritance, a good, Godly legacy, for "our children's children."
Here are some of our favorite scriptures about money and finances:
~  "A good person leaves an inheritance for their children's children, but a sinner's wealth is stored up for the righteous." (Proverbs 1:22, NIV)
~  "Here then is what the Lord who rules over all says: 'Think carefully about what you are doing. You have planted much, but have harvested little. You eat, but are never filled.  You drink but are still thirsty. You put on clothes, but are not warm. Those who earn wages end up with holes in their money bags."  (Haggai: 1:5-6, NET Bible)
~  "The Lord will make you the head, not the tail.  If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never the bottom."  (Deuteronomy 28:13)
